MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON

This one is for the explorers who did so much, with simple analog computing, amazing gadgetry, and pure guts. It doesn't get much cooler than these guys. The final mission was fifty-two years ago this week, Apollo 17. Harrison Schmitt, one of the last two of twelve humans to walk there said after stepping out onto the surface, " I think the next generation ought to accept this as a challenge. Let's see them leave footprints like these. "
